Hey bro I feel that you'll find today's report of Passthrough for music and TV very interesting on MacOS and iOS!!!!!! Could this be the start of something new? I feel that TrueHD WILL come to Apple Music Spacial Audio as it's currently DD+ BUT the fact that the TV app is included is a sign. Knowing Apple, they are not doing it as kindness to people who rip discs. It's something far bigger!!!

Thank you for this review, great work! 👍 As a former Vudu user, and now a Fandango at Home user, I have nearly 800 titles. I try to use Movies Anywhere when possible to get better video/audio bitrates. I wish my 2019 NVIDIA Shield Pro allowed what your ATV does as far as statistics. 😊 Keep up the good work. 👍

I have a Roku I have an Apple TV also Fire TV but I use my Roku to purchase movies on Fandango because Apple TV charge too much for the movies I can get them cheaper on my Roku

Was you able to figure out if STR behaves well with Contol4? I have the 1140 and thinking about getting the STR power amp to power my new in-wall subs.

Hey Jaremy, thanks for the video. I have done the changes as you suggested above. However I dont get Dolby Atmos in Apple TV Audio output. All I am getting is 5.1 I am using Sonos Arc with surrounds and unable to figure out why not seeing Dolby Atmos on screen. On other hand If I simply see the same content on my LG native software I see Dolby Atmos. Can you confirm whats to be done please?

How is (quality-wise) the Envy Pro MK1 compared to the Lumagen 4xxx..?

The app did not change with the FAH rebranding of VUDU. A Major issue for me is the inability to create more than 100 lists. That issue is exacerbated by the limit of 200 titles per list. For example, I’ve had to split my “Action” content across two lists. I also cannot reorganize lists in FAH, forcing me to scroll across 50 different lists to move between my two lists of “Action” content.

Also i also love apple tv 4k and i hope with their new apple 4k they will have the atmos and updated audio as well as temp ive been using zidoo z9x and its not bad of a media box , very good results

Funny enough, I started with Vudu and gradually migrated to ATV over the past couple of years. It is not ideal to have a split digital library but that is where we are in this digital age.

It's kinda dumb that the Apple tv 4k doesn't let you buy movies from vudu/fandango but I guess it's a competing storefront. Don't have that problem on the Nvidia shield which is nice. I mainly try to buy my movies and shows on apple tv/itunes but sometimes there will be a better deal on vudu and I'll buy there.

Just wanted to thank you for this video. I hadn’t thought to use the zone 2 capability but after watching your video I used it to run hdmi from downstairs to upstairs. It saved me a couple grand in not having to buy a second Kaleidescape player

I try to cross shop between Roku fandango and Apple store. I also look to see if they are available for both on Movies anywhere, so that the movie title populates for both platforms

Apple doesn’t allow for purchase on fandango using Apple TV. Using Roku, fandango allows you to purchase using fandango.

I decided to get Godzilla Minus One on Fandango and I was pretty impressed with it.

So all of the issues so far are a stain on Apple, not Vudu/Fandango, namely not allowing purchases from other providers... The primary reason I use services like Vudu over AppleTV is because of this ecosystem lockdown mentality. Apple does really crappy methods to lock you into their ecosystem. For example, Apple makes it incredibly difficult to login to AppleTV device (and requires it every few days) if you don't have an iPhone. I use the AppleTV 4k purely because it's the only device on the market that will frame rate match properly. Just posting to say, to review this app, you need to get off AppleTV because its different everywhere else, and better. AppleTV doesn't allow you to play content on an Android phone... another example of reason to avoid them.

You are able to make purchases on the Fandango/Vudu app on all other streaming devices except on the Apple TV. I don't think you can make purchases on any other apps on Apple TV such as Prime Video, Redbox, etc.. Back in August of 2021, Fandango Now changed to Vudu. I wish they would have kept the Fandango Now UI. I owned 34 IMAX ENHANCED titles on Fandango Now, which disappeared when the merger happened. The audio was so much more impactful.

Thanks for this. I appreciate vudu cross platform compatibility. Also a handful of movies I've purchased over the years only activated on vudu. So i have a bit of a library there, though I don't use the app a ton. I agree with your closing comment - seems like one of these bigger providers could step up to the plate and really deliver a high quality video and audio experience.

Apart from the desktop looking horrible with hdr on, on both my oled laptop with 3k resolution and my 32inch samsung monitor for my desktop using VA pannel, I hate the fact that whenever I take a screenshot or record a clip be it in desktop mode or inside a game, they all look horrible once the hdr is off on the pc or I view it on my phone or send it to somebody else, the colors are washed out and sometimes the images are too bright and I have tried multiple ways to fix that by tuning color profiles, changing sdr brightness level, using obs instead of intel arc for my laptop and shadwoplay on my desktop, none of which seemed to work...... sad part is yt hdr won't work unless it is turned on inside windows and I never found Auto HDR to be working on my case for any of the games I play on either of my devices... I really like the fact how android handles hdr tho by only activating it inside of videos when needed and then disabling it when not needed... keeps the color consistency throughout atleast and the screenshots and videos don't look horrible either.

Vudu never allowed direct purchase from the app so that’s just a carry over. Same as the PrimeTV app. It has to do w long standing disputes between those companies and Apple.

Are these recommended for listening to music? Which has a fuller sound, ncorex or purifi?

Can you link the specific antennas youre using for bluetooth? I've struggled for many years with having a reliable bluetooth connection when trying to use 4 DualSense controllers at once with a PCIe bluetooth adapter. I've had much more success with a USB bluetooth dongle but I would like to just use a PCIe card.

Have you considered running an active USB extension cable from the PC to the upstairs TV cutout and mount the Windows wireless adapter somewhere next to the TV? All the benefits and I believe the xbox controller wireless protocol is lower latency, and you get access to the accessories app.

Hey got a quick question. Sometimes I prefer games Native HDR like Cyberpunk. Does it override RTX HDR or should i switch off before entering game? And does leaving RTX HDR always on a good choice?
